Overview: The BC Social Service Sector plays a critical role in serving communities and individuals to build capacity and address systemic inequities. With a growing awareness and need for inclusive, resilient, and equity-driven workplaces, social service organizations and leaders have an obligation to foster and maintain psychologically healthy and safe workplaces. This is a proven tactic for creating high performance, inclusive workplace cultures. Developed and delivered by RealEyes Capacity Consultants, this 2-hour training session supports supervisors, managers, and frontline leaders to understand the role of workplace psychological health and safety (WPH&S) in workplace culture building as well as its significant impact on employee engagement and retention. Workplace psychological health and safety also serves as an excellent foundation to any equity, diversity and inclusion initiatives. Grounded Canada’s National Standard on Workplace Psychological Health and Safety, and neuroscience, this session integrates both foundational knowledge and applied strategies tailored to BC’s non-profit and community-based services. ________________________________________ Training Objectives: • Build practical understanding and competencies in psychological health and safety. • Strengthen workplace cultures and ‘interactional brand.’ • Support staff wellbeing, engagement, and performance within social services. • Advance organizational responses to equity, diversity and inclusion. ________________________________________ Learning Outcomes: 1.
