Overview: The BC social service sector plays a critical role in advancing Truth and Reconciliation. With growing commitments to inclusive, resilient, and equity-driven workplaces, organizations have a meaningful opportunity to embed Indigenous equity and perspectives into service delivery and workforce culture. Developed and delivered by RealEyes Capacity Consultants, this 3.5-hour training session supports supervisors, managers, and frontline leaders in building the cultural competence and practical skills necessary to foster Indigenous-inclusive workplaces and collaborative partnerships with Indigenous communities. Grounded in the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Calls to Action (especially Call to Action #57), the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP Act), and over 17 years of hands-on sector experience, this session integrates both foundational knowledge and applied strategies tailored to BC’s non-profit and community-based services. ________________________________________ Training Objectives: • Build cultural competency and practical understanding of Indigenous equity. • Strengthen collaboration with Indigenous communities and organizations. • Support Indigenous recruitment, retention, and engagement within social services. • Advance organizational responses to Truth and Reconciliation Calls to Action. ________________________________________ Learning Outcomes: 1.
