This 90 minute workshop will help your organization identify and remove barriers to accessibility in emergency planning. It will provide you with a framework and strategies for ensuring that people with disabilities are considered when preparing for emergency situations. Accessibility and Inclusion Matter Consulting is a small BC business, directed by Melissa Lyon, who is a person with a disability. Melissa has extensive experience with both public and private sector organizations, offering training sessions related to disability awareness, accessibility, and inclusive leadership. She has taught non-credit courses at VIU and Capilano University and has created online, self-paced courses using Articulate Rise. Her lived experience as a person with a disability provides a unique perspective on inclusive leadership and practice. Melissa also leads organizations in creating accessibility plans and in creating resources to increase accessibility within an organization. She can tailor training to suit your needs.
